New resident?  Seeking a church home?  Just visiting?  Whatever your reason for visiting we hope to make you feel welcome.  We’d like to let you know more about us as you prepare for a visit.

As you come into the village of Windham Center you can’t miss the tall white steeple on our building at 4 Windham Center Rd.  We are an unaffiliated Congregational church with an evangelical tradition.  Below you will find items that will help you as you prepare to visit.

A word from Pastor Jim

At Windham Center Church we enjoy being together.  You are likely to hear a joyous hum of conversation as people gather to worship.  We believe Jesus calls us to love Him and love each other, to serve Him and care for one another’s needs. Our relationships and fellowship help us grow as we try to make a difference in people’s lives.  We a glad for your visit and hope that it is refreshing and helpful.

What to expect

Parking – Around an 18th century New England Green parking calls for creativity.  So in addition to the small lot east of our building and Church-side street parking on our corner, we use the Post Office/Windham Inn lot across Rt. 14, Weir Court Road (west of The Green), and the Windham Center Firehouse (behind the building), four doors down on Rt. 203.  A handicap drop-off zone is marked near the main door ramp.

Come on in! – Our main entrance faces The Green and is accessible by stairs and an access ramp.  Upon entering our Sanctuary greeters will greet you and offer you a guide to worship.

Worship – Our service begins at 10:30 AM (10:00 AM in summer) and consists of singing, praying, Bible reading, a biblical sermon and an offering.  The service runs about 75 minutes.  We offer communion on the first Sunday of each month and during special services through the year.

Following worship – We gather for a time of conversation over coffee and tea and would love to visit with you.  On the first Sunday all are invited as we share a fellowship meal together.  If you would like personal prayer we would be happy to pray with you.  During the week there are various opportunities for additional fellowship, study and service.
